Perseus- Software

• Each node is running Redhat Linux, a variant of Unix that is available free for PCs.
• Condor is used for cluster management and batch job scheduling.
• Support for parallel computing is provided by:
  • the MPICH and LAM implementations of the Message Passing Interface (MPI) standard
  • Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM)
  • the PGHPF High Performance Fortran (HPF) compiler from The Portland Group
• Several chemistry codes have been compiled and run successfully on the cluster, including:
  Gaussian; GAMESS-US; GAMESS-UK; CHARMM; and NAMD.
